How much is the cost of calling a engineer and disposing that same engineer in the field, with the entire remplacement kit to fix a device...with no exact information of the element to change ?
The cost of
any assistance on a very far away site to configure a complex electronic device with no communication tools, can be:
plane ticket (460€ to 915€ for a distance over 1500KM), the cost of a technician per day (500€ to 1220€) and that same technician absence on its working place...adding the motel and eating’s costs for long distances missions.
The same intervention by satellite can be done in about 15mn (average time that our customers use to
spend on that same kind of mission) and less than 115€ for communication costs, adding the satellite videoconference kit price (considering the time of use, that’s equal to 20€).
